About
I Built Vero Dawn to Do the Work Differently.
I am Missy Ross, Founder and AI Architect at Vero Dawn.
For 21 years, I worked in internal audit across banking and manufacturing, eventually reaching the Audit Director level. My job was to understand how businesses actually operated. Not how the process was supposed to work. How it really worked.
Where risk was hiding. Where responsibilities were unclear. Where systems were failing people. Where something had supposedly been fixed but the underlying problem was still there.
That way of thinking became the foundation for Vero Dawn.
Before Vero Dawn
I Spent My Career Looking Beneath the Obvious Answer.
Internal audit taught me to ask better questions.
- What is really happening?
- Why is it happening?
- What depends on this?
- What happens if this fails?
- Is the current solution actually solving the problem?
- And has anything truly improved?
I worked across both banking and manufacturing environments, including experience with Bank of America, Citi, Ingersoll Rand, and Dana Corporation.
At the same time, I was not only building a corporate career. I was also operating businesses of my own, including real estate and land investing.
So I learned to see business from both sides. From inside large organizations with complex systems, controls, and risk. And from the owner’s seat, where every decision, inefficiency, and missed opportunity feels much more immediate.
Then Came AI
I Did Not Want to Just Talk About It. I Wanted to Build With It.
As I spent more time with AI, I kept coming back to the same thing. The possibilities were extraordinary. But the quality of the answer depended on the quality of the thinking that came before it.
A business could automate the wrong process. Build an impressive tool nobody wanted to use. Buy software it already had another way to accomplish. Or assume the problem needed AI when it did not.
That felt very familiar to me. The technology was new. The discipline of understanding the business before changing it was not.
And I loved the building itself. Taking an idea, working through the problem, designing what should exist, and seeing it become real. That combination became Vero Dawn.
Why Vero Dawn
A True New Beginning
Vero Dawn means true new beginning.
The name fits the company I wanted to build and the way I believe AI should be approached. Not as technology added for the sake of saying you use AI. As an opportunity to rethink what is possible.
To question what has always been done a certain way. To decide what should stay human, what a system could carry better, and what becomes possible when the right solution is designed around the real business.
That is why Vero Dawn does not begin with a tool. We begin with the question.
How I Work
Judgment First. Then Architecture. Then the Build.
When someone brings me an idea or a problem, I am usually thinking about two things at the same time.
Should we build this?
- Is this the real problem?
- Is there a simpler answer?
- Does the current process even deserve to be automated?
- Is the value worth the investment?
If we should build it, how should it work?
- What should AI handle?
- What should stay with a person?
- What information does the solution need?
- What should it connect to?
- How should someone actually experience using it?
- What would make it useful enough to keep?
That is the thinking behind:
Audit. Reimagine. Architect. Implement.
And it is why the work does not stop at recommendations. I build too.
I Believe the Experience Matters.
A solution can technically work and still be unfinished. If it is confusing, clunky, difficult to use, or disconnected from the way people actually work, it has missed the point.
My standard is simple:
It should do what it was built to do. And it should feel finished.
Clear · Thoughtful · Useful · Intuitive
Beautiful does not mean decorative. It means someone can understand it, use it, and see why it belongs.

These credentials matter to me because Vero Dawn sits at the intersection of two kinds of thinking. Understanding the business deeply enough to know what should change. And understanding AI deeply enough to make the right solution real.
What I Am Building Now
Vero Dawn is bigger than a consulting practice.
The company is being built across custom AI architecture and implementation, products, and the intellectual property that comes from solving real problems in the real world.
Some solutions are created for clients. Some begin as ideas inside Vero Dawn. Some may eventually become products used by many businesses or people.
The common thread is the same:
Intelligence Built with a Purpose.
Let’s Reimagine What’s Possible
If something in your business could work better, if you already know what you want built, or if you have something worth taking further, Vero Dawn can help.
